CoreSite says that Aqua Comms’ AEC-3 is now live at its BO1 facility up in the Boston metro area. AEC-3 is Aqua Comms’ piece of the new Amitié cable, a 16-fibre-pair system which connects Massachussets directly with Europe. It has a design capacity of some 400Tbps and lands in Lynn to the northeast of Boston proper.
