Three regional moves with the help of key vendors, and a couple of interesting executive hires:
Wyoming’s TCT has tapped Adtran to power broadband expansion into rural areas. They will be using Adtran’s Mosaic One SaaS solution and other technology to deploy gigabit services in areas of northwest Wyoming and southern Montana. TCT evolved from a rural telephone cooperative in Wyoming’s Big Horn Basin that stared back in 1956.
Calix has been busy down in Mississippi with Tombigbee Fiber. Tombigbee has been deploying community Wi-Fi using Calix’s managed Wi-Fi broadband platform. More specifically they have enabled 9 school football fields in support of the area’s Friday-night football traditions. The deployment already covers fields in Fulton, Mangachi, Mooreville, Saltillio, Shannon, and Tupelo, and next up will be Nettleton, North Pontotoc, and Pontotoc.
