CenturyLink has moved quickly to help hook up some medical infrastructure this week. They quickly installed and donated high speed connectivity to the US Naval Ship Mercy when it arrived in LA on Friday. DISA needed a 1Gbps Ethernet circuit for the ship between the Naval Air Station North Island to the ship, which will serve as a backup hospital for non-pandemic illnesses while the local infrastructure focuses on COVID-19. CenturyLink is not the only provider moving swiftly on such projects right now, either.
