WANRack has completed another regional/metro fiber buildout. They have added some 60 route miles of new network throughout Hernando County in Florida, hooking up the usual anchor institutions and aggregation sites and reaching into business districts. Hernando County lies along Florida’s Gulf coast to the north of the Tampa metro area.
DE-CIX continued to roll out its GlobePEER remote service, extending its reach southward into DE-CIX Madrid. The service offers direct access back to Frankfurt of course, but also the ability to hook up with the rest of DE-CIX’s ecosystem around the world via the ability to peer remotely at other DE-CIX locations.
