Balancing security and usability is not easy. Security staff, when developing security implementations, can in many cases actually produce barriers for the users, barriers that encourage them to bypass security in the name of productivity and reduced frustration.
Security Goals
Security is protection from insiders and external threats. Security is preventing problems. Security is also discovering problems and implementing solutions. There are security products, both hardware and software, which can be premises based and in the cloud. Internal problems can be negligence, poor policies, malicious behavior, and mistakes.
