DataBank Sells A Few to Etix Everywhere

Some data centers are changing hands over in Europe. Earlier this week, DataBank announced that it has entered into an agreement with Etix Everywhere to sell off five data centers in France totalling some 73,000 square feet of colo space.

The data centers in question were acquired by DataBank as part of the zColo deal, which dramatically increased the company’s footprint three years ago. For its part, Zayo originally acquired its French data center footprint in the deal for Neo Telecoms. DataBank, however, has not shown much interest in expanding its European footprint, and instead has focused on investments into its North American reach. They still have one data center in London, but I wonder if they haven’t put that on the market as well.
