The ongoing adoption of higher speeds in the data center and campus environments will help drive up Ethernet switch market revenues beyond $26 billion in 2020. Dell’Oro Group says that 2.5 Gbps and 5 Gbps will see demand in campus environments while 25 Gbps and 100 Gbps will drive upgrades for data centers.
The research group noted that in the data center, the majority of revenue growth during the forecast period is predicted to come from 25 Gbps and 100 Gbps.
