Two test-focused companies are expanding their “Internet of Things” portfolios with IoT acquisitions, although each has a different focus.
MTS is buying PCB Group, a sensor production company, for $580 million. MTS plans to combine PCB with its own sensors business with an eye toward more complete test and development services for “Internet of Things” applications. In a conference call on the acquisition, Jeffrey Graves, president and CEO of MTS, saidthat the acquisition will have a “truly unique impact.”
