Is your radio network single-minded yet?

Think of a typical base station site. Now think of a packed metro train during the rush hour. Well maybe it’s not quite that bad, but  many base station sites do tend to be pretty crowded places. They often have very little space available for more equipment to be added – in most cases for LTE upgrades.

The need to run legacy GSM and WCDMA base stations and the new high capacity LTE base station in the same site makes base stations operations complicated, while carbon emissions and costs rise.
