The ongoing transition to higher Ethernet speeds in the data center and enterprise campus segment will drive Ethernet switch sales over the next five years, says Dell’Oro Group.
According to the research firm, the majority of spending by data centers will be on 25 Gbps capable switches, while 2.5 and 5.0 Gbps will make its way into enterprise campus upgrades.
