Columbus, Ohio-based Horizon announced a new connection to Equinix’s Chicago data center, which is a major on-ramp for the Midwest. Horizon has connected its network backbone to the Equinix data center located on Cermak Road in Chicago in order to provision its Ethernet and IP services between Columbus and Chicago.
“We have already contracted to connect two global companies that reach over 180 countries from the Cermak location into Columbus,” said Horizon’s Joey Holibaugh, senior vice president of carrier and business development, in a statement.
