GlobeNet’s plans to extend its submarine cable network down to Argentina passed another key milestone this week. They have completed the marine survey for the Malbec cable, which will hook up Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro with Buenos Aires. The company plans to have the infrastructure operational in the first half of 2020. Facebook is collaborating on the project.
DE-CIX and Telxius are teaming up for better global interconnection. The two are offering access and interconnection from all Telxius PoPs worldwide into DE-CIX’s internet exchanges in Marseille, Madrid, New York, Dallas, and of course Frankfurt.
