Two metro fiber items and two colo expansion projects to note from this week’s news:
In the MidAtlantic, we got another update from USA Fiber north of Ashburn. The company says it has completed its crossing of the Potomac, a key piece of its new Ashburn Express cable system bypassing Washington DC to the north into Maryland along the way to Baltimore. They also announced the sale of 24 miles of conduit along the route to an unnamed Fortune 500 company. They expect to complete the buildout sometime next year.
