Two metro fiber/WiFi deals, one regional densification project, and some transatlantic connectivity:
Great Plains Communications has a bit more fiber planned for the Omaha metro area. They will be expanding their infrastructure into the new 157-acre Gretna Crossing Park in Gretna NE. The new park will include a water park and a variety of other facilities for outdoor activity. GPC will be providing fiber Wi-Fi services throughout the venue.
Comcast Business has also won some WiFi-related business in the sports vertical. Along with Extreme Networks, they will be providing a fully WiFi 6E-ready network for Oracle Park in San Francisco. That’s where the SF Giants play of course. The new network will support the bandwidth of fans both directly and indirectly through the park’s ecosystem.
