DC BLOX has added some metro fiber capabilities in Huntsville, Alabama. The southeastern data center provider has teamed up with Huntsville Utilities for dark fiber reach to the city’s businesses and government entities. Huntsville Utilities supplies electricity, water, and natural gas to a significant chunk of the population there, and as part of that has built and currently operates some 1,200 route miles of fiber optic network.
DE-CIX has increased network capacity over in India. They have replaced existing DWDM gear and software and deployed second fiber rings to boost capacity up to 320GE in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Kolkata.
