CommScope, a renowned name in networking and cellular solutions, has announced a strategic maneuver that will see it selling its Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and Outdoor Wireless Networks (OWN) units to Amphenol for approximately $2.1 billion. Besides selling its home networks business to French telecom provider Vantiva for up to $100 million plus a 25% stake, CommScope also acquired cable assets from Casa Systems for $45 million. However, CEO Chuck Treadway remains optimistic about Ruckus’s underlying potential to grow its market share in the medium to long term, indicating confidence in the unit’s prospects despite current setbacks.
