Sateliot is ambitiously establishing a low-earth orbit (LEO) NB-IoT satellite constellation adhering to Release 17 specifications within the 5G NR standard. The company has already gained industry traction, launching several satellites in August via SpaceX rockets. These efforts have yielded significant contracts, securing links for eight million IoT devices. Sateliot’s standout offering is an NB-IoT satellite extension designed for multi-RAT connectivity from a single SIM solution, which promises seamless global coverage and standard roaming capabilities. This feature is particularly valuable for industries that require constant connectivity, such as logistics, agriculture, and remote environmental monitoring.

Complementing this satellite capability, Eseye’s partnership with over 700 operators across 190 countries provides a solid cellular backbone. The collaboration with Sateliot allows Eseye to extend its current cellular network reach far beyond traditional limitations, merging terrestrial and satellite connections into a unified network. The effort to wholesale this satellite NB-IoT connectivity to terrestrial operators with a target revenue of €1 billion by 2030 underscores the transformative potential of this initiative. A virtualized cloud-native 5G core operating on AWS further aids Sateliot’s goal, ensuring scalable and efficient handling of IoT data.
