ADVA says it has achieved an industry first in transatlantic bandwidth, working with Acacia Communications. Their FSP 3000 TeraFlex gear was used to demonstrate a 300Gbps wavelength over a link of 6,800km with 70GHz channel spacing. A commercially available transponder with real time DSP was used. The gear does 600Gbps within the metro.
Zayo has picked up a new enterprise customer north of the border. An unnamed ‘global professional services’ company has selected Zayo for managed IP.
