Great Plains Communications has launched a new security offering aimed at the enterprise marketplace. They are teaming with Alarm.com to offer cloud-based physical security and video monitoring to enterprises in Nebraska and southeastern Indiana. The new product enables GPC to offer unified real-time intrusion, surveillance, and access management protection via app and website.

DataBank says it has polished off its zColo migration. The data center operator bought Zayo’s colo division just over a year ago, adding 44 facilities to its portfolio and instantly transforming the company’s position in the marketplace. All zColo customers are now on DataBank’s edge colo and interconnect platform. Does that mean DataBank is ready for further inorganic expansion? We’ll just have to see.
