According to Capacity, GCX is widening its search for a buyer. The international division of RCom has been in limbo for some time due to the trials and tribulations of its parent. The investment bank Lazard was called in as an advisor last week, and CEO Bill Barney has said that buyer interest is definitely there. Earlier speculation had two bids of $1.1B or so in the works, one from I Squared and another from a private equity consortium.

Zayo announced a new international enterprise customer yesterday. The Boulder-based infrastructure builder and operator is providing wavelength connectivity to an unnamed ‘international bank’.
