Farice says that the IRIS subsea cable is nearing completion. SubCom has completed its work on the project, which connects Iceland with the west coast of Ireland where it comes ashore at Galway. The system will apparently be ready for service in Q1 of 2023, enabling connectivity between Reykjavík and Dublin with 10.5ms latency.

DC BLOX continues to move quickly to build out its cable landing station down in Myrtle Beach. They have tapped OFS to supply the necessary fiberoptic cable for the location’s new route west through Charleston and Augusta and on to Atlanta. The CLS is expected to be ready in Q2 of 2023.
