Tuesday Bytes: Chief Telecom, DE-CIX, CyrusOne, Nokia, MEO

July 9, 2024

Some interconnection, some financing, and some 5G:

DE-CIX and Chief Telecom have entered into a strategic partnership. The deal will give Chief Telecom access to DE-CIX’s global ecosystem, and in particular enables it to connect the company’s Singaporean customers to DE-CIX ASEAN. CyrusOne has lined up a major war chest for the expansion of its infrastructure. They have closed on $7.9B in the form of a Warehouse Credit Facility, which ads to a $1.8B revolving credit facility they completed in May. That adds up to $9.7B in resources that CyrusOne will be able to tap into to fund development projects, which is quite a bit. However, thus far they haven’t offered many details on what those projects might be.
