Ciena’s Blue Planet is contributing some new code to the Linux Foundation’s Open Networking Automation Platform Policy Framework. The additional functionality is aimed at giving service providers who use ONAP more flexibility in administering intent-based policies. In parallel, they are componentizing additional capabilities within the Blue Planet platform so that they can be leveraged with ONAP. An unnamed major service provider was also involved in the code contribution.
