Avelacom has added another US/Asia low latency link to its network. Yesterday the financial services networking specialist launched a new Chicago-Tokyo back-up route. It’s geographically diverse from the PC-1 route but still within 5ms of latency of that option. Avelacom says it is is preparing for possible surges in financial market volatility over the next few months.
EllaLink has lined up some data center connectivity for its planned cable system between Spain and Brazil. They have tapped Equinix to open interconnection and colo PoPs in Madrid, Lisbon, and São Paulo.
