More Tuesday Bytes: Seaborn, RETN, Epsilon, Bluebird

Seaborn has launched services on AMX-1 with some help from Infinera. They have deployed Infinera’s XT Series platform on the cable between the Jacksonville and Rio de Janeiro, complementing their Seabras-1 system and giving them a roadmap to 800G. Seaborn emerged from restructuring over the summer, and is busily mapping out its next phase.

RETN continues to add nodes to its global internet backbone. They have expanded into China with a new PoP in Beijing. The expansion is powered by redundant fiber from Kazakhstan via TRANSKZ, giving them a direct route between Beijing, Central Asia, and Europe. They plan to link that Beijing PoP to their existing Hong Kong PoP as well.
