UPN is building out metro depth in Allen, Texas. They had previously extended their network to the area, offering triple-lath redundancy to Dallas 25 miles to the south. The new expansion will provide a dark fiber ring connecting eight buildings together for the City of Allen, with high speed internet access as part of the deal as well. Allen is just far enough outside Dallas to escape much of the attention of the broader metro fiber community.
