AMS-IX and irix have plans for an Internet Exchange in Malaysia. The new IX will leverage AMS-IX’s IXaaS platform and will be located on the island of Borneo in Kuching, Sarawak rather than on the Malay Peninsula near Singapore or Kuala Lumpur. irix is the recently launched corporate brand identity of PP Telcom.
Padtec will be helping AdylNet with a network upgrade down in South America. They will be supplying 800Gbps transponders to the Brazilian provider, which operates a network down in the Rio Grande do Sul at the southernmost tip of the country. The infrastructure connects the São Paulo, Curitiba, Florianópolis and Porto Alegre along with locations in the interior of the province.
