Sparkle has shifted its presence in the African country of Djibouti to the Djibouti Data Center. That facility will now serve as the global internet backbone’s hub for expansion to eastern and southern Africa. Sparkle has been in Djibouti since 2010 via a deal with Djibouti Telecom, and the country has evolved into one of the more important infrastructure nexuses in the region.
