As the 24 GHz auction closes out another week of bidding, the total bid amount has reached $1.828 billion after 49 rounds.
The Federal Communications Commission bumped up the number of bidding rounds per day from three to five yesterday, to urge the clock phase along. Five additional rounds will be held today.
Thirty-eight bidders continue to vie for licenses in the clock phase of the auction, where bidding will continue until the number of bids at steadily-increasing prices matches the number of available licenses for each market.
