Operators around the world continue to make steady progress implementing voice-over-LTE services. According to the GSA, as of April 2016, there were 494 commercially live LTE networks spanning 162 countries. Of these, a little more than 10% (55 operators) have launched a commercial VoLTE service, in 34 countries.
However, commercial momentum is building with an additional 25% (126 operators) currently investing in VoLTE deployments or trials. Feedback to date remains extremely positive with subscribers enjoying fast call connection and noise-free, high fidelity call quality.
