Cisco will acquire cloud communications software and service company IMImobile for approximately $730 million, a move that will allow Cisco to provide its business customers with an end-to-end customer interaction management solution.
IMImobile’s software and services allow enterprises and organizations to stay constantly connected to their customers through enhanced interactive channels including social, messaging and voice, providing, among other things, a “rich customer experience.” The plan is to couple IMImobile’s software and services with Cisco’s Webex Contact Center solution, a tool that has become increasingly popular and critical as people continue to work remotely as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
