Adva Optical Networking has acquired Overture for $35 million, furthering its network functions virtualization (NFV), and Ethernet over Copper (EoC) capabilities for its carrier customers.
As service providers implement NFV into their networks, Adva said it can offer customers an architecture that includes a mix of programmable hardware, software and orchestration products.
