Here are a few other interesting items from the week so far that are worth a look:

Xtera has won the contract to supply the equipment powering Seaborn Networks’ ARBR cable system, which will connect Sao Paolo and Buenos Aires. More specifically, Seaborn has picked Xtera’s C+L band design, which leverages a hybrid Raman/EDFA wideband repeater. Seaborn expects the deployment to enable on-demand capacities of up to 44Tbps per fiber, which it will target at the demands of internet content providers.

T5 Data Centers has purchased some significant land down in the Atlanta metro area.
