In December 2017, 78 year-old WKNY announced a dramatic move: the acquisition of a vacant historic building as the future site of new studios and offices for Radio Kingston Corp, who, some months earlier, had purchased WKNY, a legacy AM radio station serving the City of Kingston (WKNY received an FM signal in March 2019). Final “punch list” elements were completed in June 2022. Today, functioning smoothly and efficiently in their new home, WKNY serves its Kingston community with varied programming of eclectic music and entertaining, informative talk shows in English and Spanish reflecting the needs of the people and the city they serve.
